At the price I got it, I can't say there are any regrets, shifts like no other and it seriously makes the SRAM stuff look less appealing to me since this derailleur feels really solid. I'd do the deed and spend away in your position.

To Canada yes, but because of the US's patent system these bikes will probably never hit market over there.

It was a valid opinion a few years back but now it has become childish to dispute the POD and VOD. I don't care how professional you may sound or even be, fact is he has no control over these things and vocalizing his opposition on this is just a waste of his time and ours as well. Instead of saying this or that picture doesn't deserve POD, he should have just pointed out what would have made this picture better.

I've got news for you man, no one really gives a shit about what you think because guess what, it's still a POD whether you like it or not.

fr112358,

That's not Fabien Barel. Barel rides with a knee brace, Fox 40's, and a custom helmet he helped design.

I know, I almost shat myself too, but he pulled out the scale and showed me. It's been redesigned and the thing is so light.

Man I got 2008 XT's and I can tell you that Shimano is going to give Avid one hell of a run for their money in the brake department. Those 2009 Saint's are actually much more powerful than Codes but are lighter and have the same range of adjustments. The shifting still isn't up to par with Sram though. As for the weight of the Pro stuff, my buddy down at the shop has been speccing his Wilson up and has weighed so many stems. He's told me that this stem and the Daredevil direct mount stem are the two lightest stems on the market bolts included (unlike what so many top brands do).

True, plus that pro stem you see there is actually a hell of a lot lighter than the Sunline.

The whole time I was looking at the pic I was humming the Batman theme song, I find it fits this pic a little to well.

If you want, I have a 450 lbs coil in 2.25 stroke right here. I'm not sure how much I'd be asking for it, but I'm guessing shipping plus a little extra and she's all yours.

I should have been taking pics all along the build but I'm an idiot so I'll just have a finished picture instead. I sure hope I can ride before snow, my rear wheel should be ready like Wednesday (not early enough).

600lbs coil in the back, I weigh 250. I'm using this bike for DH more than freeride so it'll be on the softer side of things but I don't mind. As for the size, I came off a bike with near identical geometry to this size Reign X and so far everything seems perfect.

Well the 66 RC2X wasn't all that tall in 07, they revised it in 06 because too many were complaining about crown hight. I've had a seat on my bike with it on and it feels just right. I'm 6'1" though so I have no standover issues what so ever. When I'll be riding standing up it'll be a god send to have risers.

Well you could have a custom built one, but for that price you're better off sticking with the stock one. I actually enjoy the headset a lot. I hate the fact that I had to play with spacers for like 2 hours to get my LG1 to fit with the rest of my bike, and knowing me the top box will knock the chainstays when I finally get out and ride it.

This isn't even a working design, I drew this up to give someone an idea of what I was talking about. But no you guys are definitely right about the size being all wrong, I didn't even try to do it right.

Nope, the Gambler has an adjustable head angle, this thing was made for strength so you don't end up with a snapped head tube.

You fully riders have to understand, that isn't a big drop for a hardtail. I've constantly gone off 6' drops to flat on a hardtail, and while it may be a tad on the rough side, you do have legs and arms to compensate. I'm pretty sure many freeride hardtail riders can back me up in saying that 10' is easily achievable with a slanted landing, you guys just need to learn how to ride.
